Been nabbed many many years ago for doing an apparent speed matched 180 on princess highway by a base model VT commo. Stopped to turn right at traffic lights is when they pulled me over.

Had the G6 to 200 on the keys bypass when I first got it

saw a picture of the road in the paper.

really not a good place to do it. trees either side, narrow, crests. a kangaroo could have easily popped out

he was better off doing it on the freeway with duel lanes and no intersections early in the morning.

not the section of road to do it IMO

Nope on a public road, I even posted up a shot of the speedo here somewhere...

Does anyone know what that Julimar Road is like? Had a look on google street view and it looks like some country road.

When I first joined this forum I organised a failed night cruise that travelled this road (and some other great country stretches). At night you can get a lot of Roo's (Kieran and myself, long way in front of the others doing 1XXkms and roo's jumping around, but the horn scares em away) as its a roo breeding area and in the wet it can be a bit slippery but during the day I've heard rumours that a bloke on a bike has hit 300km+

Has a few tight sections with some blind corners and some long stretches where 200kms is easy enough but hardly anything dangerous out there. I often hit that area up and IMHO its probably the best places to blow the cobwebs off. Away from the public (but does lead into Toodyay so common sense must be used) and generally the police**

Great place to stop for a skid if your that way inclined. I know there are several members who have experienced this ;) Kaels sig gives you a clue!

Probably done more for Ferrari advertising their new car than what they could have ever imagined. Front page on news papers, internet forums, radio would be great for them. Ohh look we have a new super tourer that'll break all legal limits lol

** Many of those roads are used for Targa West (definitely no Targa Tasmania that's for sure!!) and that starts in about 6 weeks. I imagine the police know enterants would do recce in the 2-8 weeks before hand so they pay extra attention to the area.....

This road is not Jumilar but its very close by and sorta gives you an indication of the road surface and how far the trees are away from the roadside
