rang my mate who works at ford and he said the mechanic told him the friction additive only works 50% of the time its used and its $100 .

he said try thicker oil first . il just put a lil thicker oil in not much els I can do , just sucks.

My diff got a little loose after I got a little too excited on a private car park one evening. It you were to give it properly both would spin but if you're turning and giving it a little only one wheel would loose traction. After that ford has changed oil in it due to some other work being done on the diff and now is tighter then ever. I love it, sound like a locker sometimes when making a tight turn.

yeah cool , il change the oil as soon as I get sum time maybe next week .

mines also the same man , if I do a u-turn its spins one in first but if I bang 2nd it will spark both and step out all the way down the private road.

$100 typical ford, try replacing the oil yourself and adding a tube of Molybdenum (spelling not sure) pick it up at repco supercheap etc for about $20 a tube to get the same result. Havent used it in my xr diff but used it in my truck and my xw lsd and it got it back to the way it should be.
