Hello guys I recently just bought a BA XR6T and I am loving it. Now for some reason my traction control button from day 1 was very sticky and would require a very firm push to toggle on and off. Now leaving the gym last night I noticed traction control was off and it was quite wet on Adelaide roads so I tried to put it back on. And then WHOOPS there goes my traction control button...... the force I used was not exactly unheard of for any button but it was enough to push it in to the unknown and out of sight. I can feel it hanging around close by its hole but I really need to get that part of the dash away enough to put it back in place and maybe fix the clip if it is broken that holds it in place. Has this happened to anyone else before and any idea for the best way to fix it?

Thanks in advance. Matt

hahahaha I did the exact same thing the other day, wanted to turn off traction control in the wet and put my finger straight through it, I think those switches must be a faulty but that little surround thingy ma bob does come out but you cant be scared with it as I had to replaced the traction switch today.

How did you do it? Does it require removing part of the dash? Screws or clips? Is it just a pull off and clip on thing or will I need to unscrew a whole bunch of screws?

I did the same thing the other day.

just reach under the dash, you will find it dangling under there. put a small amount of super glue on the edge. that should do the trick.

the buttons seem to get sticky over time, I found usually over the colder months with moisture in the air.

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't feel so alone anymore with this traumatic experience :) I'm not the only victim of the phantom button........ I will try to do what is advised and let you know later today of the outcome.
