Had my F6 ute for about 9 weeks, started noticing about 3 weeks ago a slight knock when applying the throttle, and then tonight as I went over a speed bump BANG!

Car is bone stock, seriously - what a piece of sh*t

Ford quailty is seriously nowhere

don't flog the car either, actually never had the traction control off.

Something got to be done. I've heard this too much andnow experienced it, at the most inconveniant time .

Mate it is not a problem I have heard before, so I think you are trying to blame "Ford Quality" as if this is a common problem.

It is most likely a component failure that is uncommon. I am sure Ford will fix it for you and you can get back to enjoying your car.

Remember that we generally only hear about problems people have, so there is a majority of whinge threads. Most people are really happy with the quality of the cars, it is just Ford service that sucks.

schmick, I've heard a few people talk about the tailshaft breaking, and touch wood, mine has had no issues so far. Even with the amount of power running through it and the heavy handed way I drive the car.

At the end of the day, consider yourself lucky you havnt voided warranty yet as I hear that Ford are replacing the tailshafts. Wehn mine goes pop its going to have to be me paying for it to be replaced.

Yeah I hate to say it but from reading all the forums and also the amount of power you have, you're running on borrowed time.

Looks like they are fitting the BF shafts with adapters on the end (BF shafts are shorter than FG aparetnly) to cure the problem, this is however on a case by case basis, unfortunetly not on the production line . . .
