Well my Silhouette G6Et will be ready as soon as the guys at the dealer get it ready for me.

I have got a list of mods that are getting done straight away which are:

De chrome the exterior (black the whole thing out)

Dark tint

Full Fulcrum upgrade (TEIN's)

20 Inch Marcello Mt5's in Black with chrome lip

Sound system and AV upgrade.

The thing I need assistance with is engine mods.

I have owned an LS1 powered commy for the last 5 years so I'm really clued up with modifying the LS1's but I know bugger all about the Ford Turbo 6's other than the fact that the G6ET goes fricken hard std (almost as quick as my cammed LS1 VY was) and with a little work 300 rwkw is said to be easily done.

I have only visited one performance shop on the north side of Brisbane who as far as I know have a good reo for Ford work and they are saying that with a FG XR8 air box, big intercooler and flash 3 tuner they can give me 400 hp at the tyres still using the std injectors and exhaust!

Does this sound right as from what I have read on here nearly everyone talks of putting bigger injectors and even a bigger fuel pump in straight away as soon as you start to look at tuning.

400 hp at the tyres on the std (quite and stealth) exhaust would suit my aims with this car perfectly as I want a subtle, classy but tough looking car that's quiet but carries a bloody big stick, if you know what I mean.

What do you guys think and can you sugest any good people I should talk to in the Brisbane area for turbo 6 mods that wont bull sh&t me?

Time is not too critical as I am going to let the car get a good few 1000 k's under its belt before I do any mods to the engine to be sure it's not going to crap itself early.

cheers

Try Elite Automotive. I have a mate who swears by them up in QLD. They also have the quickest FG F6 in the country so they must being something right with the FG's.

Also mate you should be budgeting for an LSD upgrade. This is a great car but really misses having a 'limo' when you are really standing on it especially if you are looking to upgrade.

Good luck mate... it looks like we have the same car :)

In my opinion that will turn an exellent stock package in to a brilliant stock package. Just out of interest mate... what did they charge you for that, and did they have to alter any of the TC/ESC controls to make it work?

Good job mate... you will LOVE IT, I too came from Holdens but a few years ago now... my last Expensive Daewoo was a VR Senator 215i and since then I haven't turned back.

Sounds like you will create an awesome machine.

If you are upgrading the av system and would like to sell the one in it, I'm looking to upgrade my crapola with the colour screen so will buy yours if your interested...

Also interested to see how you go with the tuner, I'm on the Goldie so will be looking for someone soon too.

Great Thanks for the info mate.

Any recommendations on brands of the above gear?

The dealer is organizing for all the chrome parts of the body to be painted in the jet black (grilles, grille surrounds, boot granish etc) and changing the window surrounds for the XR black ones as well as fitting the XR6 LSD all for a bit under $2500.

Bloody good value I think>

I dont know if they have had to alter any settings but they say they have done a few LSD's into the G6ET's like this already.

I believe that they are using the screen that is in the car but adding the modules to it to give it sat nav, DVD and TV playing through the front screen and the Clarion drop down screen in the rear. I am also getting the audio guys to fit good front splits and a sub box in the boot with two 10's providing the bass.

If your on the Gold coast mate we'll have to organize a meet at the spit or up tambo mountains or something with a few other forum members to get the cars out for a burn.
