I did search, but has anyone done the above? Just gone with SL`s on the rear, and stock hieght heavier springs on the front?

My car has this rake like a AA gasser from the 60`s. I`d love to just take that gap out of the rear guards over the tyres.

But the front is like a grader, final trim, with the stock springs in it, it`d be lunacy to lower it.

Thoughts? Personal experiences?

I Had SSL King rears and standard fronts for some time. The rear of the car was around 1cm lower than the front measured on the sill trim, though... it did look as if it was squatting at the rear a little.

I have now installed SL fronts, and it is basically level. I dont have any extra scappring issues, as long as you are careful up curbs etc.

Have a look at the pic I just posted in the Phantom Ba wheels thread, that was SLs in the rear stock fronts. Looked pretty good with 19s, but pretty average with 18s

It would sit pretty well I would think. Always have to go one lower on the rear in these packages to get them to sit level. You will be able to slide your hand in the gap with SL springs on the rear.

thanks guys, looking at the many cars with SL fronts and SSL rears, I reckon it`d be a safe bet..

Anyway, it wouldn`t be hard to toss a set of SL`s in the rear, stand back and look, then make a decision on the fronts..

Lol, I scraped my stock height BRAND NEW and fresh painted front bar twice on the way home today.

What a loser.

Gotta learn where your front bumper is, always hang the arse end out of the parking bay when you park. I'd rather my car a metre out of the bay, then being beached on the front bumper.

After looking at my 2 day drive holiday pics I thought: ENOUGH of the AA gasser rake my car exhibits! I went and bought a pair Pedders slightly lower and heavier rear springs.

I fitted them in no time at all, lowered it onto the ground thinking, ooooooh whats it gonna be like??

Its spot on. So far anyway. It looks awesome ( to me ) doesn`t scrape and I reckon now that its level and not pointing arse up nose down it steers way nicer and doesn`t want to run over the front wheels like it did.

Pics soon.
