Solid state MP3 players are either a lot more expensive or have much smaller capacity.

turbo_nick some guy... Member 277 Member For: 22y 3m 2d Posted 14/01/03 12:06 PM Share Posted 14/01/03 12:06 PM I got me a Sony MP3 head unit that plays normal CDs and MP3 CDs. I paid something like $800-900 for it back then so you ppl should consider yourselves lucky that you can get 6gig MP3 players for around half the price of what I paid.MP3s are definitely the way to go! atm, I have over 1200 tracks in my car! Now, show me a disc changer that can hold that many CDs. hehe
Guest MrSparkle Guests Posted 14/01/03 12:31 PM Share Posted 14/01/03 12:31 PM Bought a JVC mp3 head unit for the daily driver, $349 from JB Hifi. Superb unit - plenty of handy functions like full title scrolling, fantastic handling of multiple folder levels, random play within a folder, etc. Just superb! Can't ever go back to "normal" cd's now!
