Nope, small black box is your purge solenoid. PCV valve is the valve on top of the rocker cover at the rear right hand side. It should have a 3/8 vac hose going from the inlet plenum to the pcv valve. You need a multimeter to check but easiest is to cut back loom where you soldered wires and compare what colour wire you have joined their to the other end at the plug where you cut it.

Yeah mate, they're hooked up. What 1/4 or 1/8 vac line has a one way valve in it???? I took this out and maybe put it back in the wrong way :verysad:

The one way valve is on the line that goes to the purge solenoid and Ive got it so the plenum can suck through valve but not blow back towards the purge solenoid?

Yeah it has a valve in it but it doesnt come apart anyway. I doubt you put it in the wrong way. If theirs definately no vac leaks then you need to cut open the loom at both ends where you soldered extension wires in and make sure they match up at both ends.

ok ebxmple, the little 1 way valve looks like a round joiner that is grey on 1 side. You can suck thru it but not blow. Anyway, I am in debt to you for your advice mate and ETM. I really appreciate it. Thanks and I'll check the wires now. DOH!!!!

Ok finished checking wires. All good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only thing is on the smaller plug (2 wires) I used much heavier gauge wire?? This could make a difference in the signal?

Well in that case you have not changed anything- technically everything is the same as it was before and should work as it did before. It must be a plug not clipped in properly or something silly like that.

could be a connection on your throttle body mate.

ive had the same symptoms when a mate disconnected a wire from my tps.

could also be running lean and missing because of the extra air at idle due to the plenum swap
