mate, I have the same car, same backlash/feedback and shunting noise and its driving me freakin mental!

On recommendation, I changed the diff bush myself, took a long ass time, but it was shagged so needed doing. Used a peders polyurethane bush as the replacement cause came with new bolt.

Guess what. STILL DOES IT, only now its freakin louder. thought about kicking in a quarter panel........

The after market bush is stiffer so transfers more sound into the car, but it is now a lot easier to hear the clunking and defiantly sounds as if it is coming from the diff. Heading to a diff joint this arvo to plead and throw money down the drain. Let you know the outcome.

Every gear shift, clunk clunk, every time I slow down, shunt shunt shunt......AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!:crybaby::slap:

So I got my car back from the Diff joint with no success.

The guy said when I dropped it off it would be the bush and bolt, to which I replied I had replaced. He took it for a drive with me and agreed something is definatly not right. Left the car with him and when I called he had no answers!

Said my diff had a tiny tiny bit of movment but it was to small to be the cause of the noise. He said the CV joints COULD be worn but wasnt sure......

Has/Does anyone know of a Diff place in East Melbourne that has worked on a BA MKII turbo before, or could be recommended??? I am struggling to find anyone who can help me.

I think my next move is to call the performance tuners and ask who they use and chase it up that way... the noise is still driving me nuts
