I was told a while back that a remote start cannot be installed in a BA Mk1 as the immobiliser won't allow it, is that true? can u get a remote start installed?Cheers. Trick is though you need to get another key, cut off the bit that goes into the ignition. You just want the sensor part of the key because you need that sensor to be right next to the ignition barrel for remoter start to work with the smart lock. I find it more of a novelty which is the reason I don't have a cut key sitting beside the barrel. But after playing with the idea this is what was needed to do it.
