When playing cd's im really happy with the overall quality of sound. When I use my iphone via the aux cable the sound quality is really average. I have tried turing off the eq on the iphone as well as differnt volume levels. Overall the volume is quite low (maybe due to the physical output on the iphone) and the range is really average? Will be trying a differnt player and cable tomorrow but is this simply what I shoudl expect fromt he aux input?looks like it may not quite be time to toss my 200 odd cd's Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/59303-terrible-sound-form-the-aux-input/ Share on other sites

Didn't use it in the end. The FG is much much better. When using this, you need the volume on the IPOD at abvout 2/3rds and the volume will be about the same as CD, and no distortion. This is not the Ford one - a member on here used to make them, but the idea is the same.
