I have experienced both a good salesman and a terrible one. When I was looking at a FG they wanted me to sign a piece of paper and put a deposit down before I even took one for a drive!!! When I did go for a drive the sales man was telling me that this model had a BOV and there is no difference between (drive) and (man) on the auto gearbox quote: "D is for drag man". This idiot thought I (young 20's) didn't know a thing about these cars and the bullsh_t just kept on coming out of his mouth.... looking back it was quiet humorous. But he was clearly a shark out for the commission.

When buying the F6, from the same dealer, this looser wasn't there anymore, instead there was a new fella who hadn't been there for long at all. My car was in for a service and I was lookin at the F6 in the car yard, we started talking and I caught a smell of 'his' antics.... However I told him straight up of the last encounter I had with this dealership and told him I wouldn't stand for it again. He soon came to realise that I knew a thing or too, and he was quiet good to deal with.... In the end I think I was the one took the dealership for a ride.

It all comes down to the individual's personality, sure there is the commission there, but there is also word of mouth and reputation.

n considering he had been working in the mines takeing home over 100k a year for the last 3 years I think he may have been abl to afford a 50k car
