I don't think there is much to protect you from a private sale. Sorry to hear about your purchase matey.

I spend alot of time helping people on this forum and in the yard, and no its not for profit, I have only sold one vehicle to a Forum member since I have been active here. Would you like it if people came into your place of business and called you a liar and told you that just because you could charge less for what you do, you are ripping people off? People like this are why I'm about to leave the industry...I know what your saying there Senna, I also work at a dealership and have had for the last 16 yrs. The best comeback line I ever heard was when a farmer called the DP "a typical car salesman thief" he replied "are all farmers cattle duffers?", the stupid *beep* didnt know what to say.Greg

KeepLeft Member 240 Member For: 15y 7m 19d Gender: Male Posted 06/07/09 01:05 PM Share Posted 06/07/09 01:05 PM Salesmen, real estate agents and anyone in sales.. of course they are trying to make a profit. It's their job and livelihood. They'd starve if they didn't make a profit. As with anything, there are bad ones and good ones.As for your purchase of a lemon, sorry mate there's no legal way of getting any of your money back in WA. Get it checked and work out whether it's a head gasket or the head. Might not be as expensive to fix as you think.

They aren't your friends, they only want the best price for themselves and nothing more. Along with real estate agents, the VERY LAST people in the world you trust!...well not really, but love seeing big Pattsy get fired up Go with option B Punchy. It's tribal law up there isn't it? ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 6d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 07/07/09 04:00 AM Share Posted 07/07/09 04:00 AM Brandon, nobody MADE you buy the car, you could have had it checked out by a mechanic. It is not up to the person selling it to be honest about all fo the problems. They need to point out the possitive and skip the negative. You only have yourself to blame for not being a vigilant buyer, instead you took the bait hook, line and sinker. Also remember the seller may not have known about thie problem.
