Not really Pat. He was a bit jaded about that bit. He had no shame in saying he is the best in the country when it comes to working on the ZF's, but who am I to doubt him. He talked about the stall converter, and that he imports all of his replacement parts from the US.

He was adamant to stick with the ZF if I wasnt going to be doing alot of track work rather then opt for a Powerglide.

I think im going to just throw as much power at the ZF and see what happens. Guinea Pig here I come.

I can understand that though, if you are one of the only people modifying the box you probably don't want everyone knowing the secrets...

Would it be cheaper and quicker to put a 2 or 3 speed in and sell the zf or is this a most powerful zf thing.

Sounds like a lot of power for a car that isnt going to see the track very often :(

The car wont see much track life, but never say never. Coming from a circuit background I believe a car should never be taken to the track under prepared.

Im going to work on getting the power out of the car and focus on dyno days. Whilst getting there, I'll strengthen what needs to be and if I lose my license, then the track may be my only place left to play on. Throw a cage in and off we go!
