Hardlid On Fg Locking Noise

When I press the button to lock the doors.Locking noise comes from the hardlid.Even though u have to lock it manually.

Just started doing this last week

Thoughts? Anyone else had this or know how to solve it?

are you sure it does not have remote locking on the hardlid? mine does and it makes a loud locking noise when I lock it...

Well I never knew it did lock with the button..Always thought it was manually locked..

I can't work out why the noise just started or how to get rid of it.Is annoying..Betrays the fine piece of machinery that it is

Before I start another semi useless thread..

When u come to a complete stop...U hear sloshing noise for a quite a while..I assume is fuel tank.Being so close to your ear.

Where as in a sedan it would not be right?

I have heard the fuel sloshing around from outside the car when I get out but not inside the car with the windows up.... with windows down I probly could if I listened for it..

The fuel sloshing is a constant with the windows up for me.

I can't rid of the Harlid knocking noise..Is horrible...No more silent approach to the car.

Update: Took it in to Ford..Linkages all fallen apart inside..This without much use...Then told..will take all month to get parts..Not good enough..Told me would have an answer in 48 hours..4 days later..no call yet..

Useless if I cannot lock the lid..Free for all for all passers by.
