With all that, I assume you have a boost gauge. Does the boost drop off when the power does and by how much? Tell Ash and Kent exactly what it does and they should be able to sort it for you.

Cheers

if it was pinging that bad and killing power, your engine would be dead by now.

and no tune running 390rwkw is safe mate, especially on a standard bottom end.

I would try re-flashing in your tune again mate.

the tune does change over time. I always re-flash my tune weekly or before I run down the strip.

failing that, I would say that your issue is tune related!

yeh, they fixed it once, but it did it again, I have a surge tank, and a 044. but not twin. yeh iv been speaking to chris from rapid and he said his mate had a simular thing happen to his t. where u cudnt hear the ping, but something about retarded timming, and it was actually in the tune and had to scrap it and start again. I reflash mine regularly, even d/c the battery to wipe things and reload tune. still no cure. but it goes back tomoro, and I aint picking it up til theyve sorted it out.!! so hopefully they get it right 2nd time round :)

When I was getting my Headsex tunes, my crazy clutch I used to have used to upset the knock sensors when data-logging and pull timing out even when off boost.

it could be ANYTHING! lol

get them to live data-log it and see what happens... first try reflashing the tune in see if it comes good.

lol they fixed it, its kinda crazy story to.. well the core inside the cat had broken off inside and split in half, one half was down the back blocking the exhuast while the front half was pushed forward and knocked out a oxygen sensor, and when I brought it back to them, as it went onto the dyno, because of a angle the car sits on, on the dyno, the cat would fall back in place and run fine, wasnt til the 2nd time I brought back they noticed it. but yeh cuz the cat was being blocked the engine somehow took out the timing. but yeh im soo glad its all sorted!
