I picked up the car and the noise was gone but only for about 1 hour then started to come back worse and worse. I decided that I would take it to my old service guys at CITY FORD CROWN St Sydney. who have found that the ball joints have nearly come off and that there is know way the car was serviced correctly . now I am not going to play the blame game and I in no way want to rubbish CV but who do I believe and what do I do.I know what most of you guys think of ford servicing but these guys at crown street have always done the right thing by me and my cars including my old bf turbo always ran well after these guys. my question is does any one Know of a really good place to get my car serviced in Sydney price is no issue I want the best. I'd follow Our06ts advice first up.

Flogged out ball joints already??Also that ticking noise is more or less a warranty issue. Most of the members here have had it at some point. Had a similar issue with Ole Yella , got more pronounced with speed. Car spent over a week at numerous dealersand remained unresolved. Local tyre shop fixed it in 5 minutes , loose balancing weight.Told both dealers to check this.... go figure
