how about something sensible? Like banning farking house trailers from the roads during daylight hours :fishin:

or drivers on freeways that sit in the right lane 20kays less than the speed limit.

I.B is there a limit on the amount of times you can be booked for speeding in a year....I remember 3 for some reason.......

So with this new system you could be booked 11 times for speeding...losing 1 point at a time..and still keep your licence....????

Absolutely. Take into account processing and payment time which factor in loss of points, but in essence you could do the 11 x 1 pointers in one week if you really wanted too.

And the 3 in one year thing use to be for heavy vehicles only.

At 110 ks on your speedo you are in reality only doing 104 -106

So you overtake without exceeding the speed in the oppositions side of the road ?

This in my opininion causes more head ons than the speed limits prevent.

How often to you have a clear 800m - 1km of clear road to overtake at a

mincing 100kph, never.

I prefer to go out and around ASAP and ease back down to the limit.

That said a short burst from 90 ks can quickly see some pretty big speeds,

but a lot safer than watching an on coming car , and from inexperience or

fear of getting busted speeding ,sticking doggedly to the law and having or causing an

accident

Ok I forgot about overtaking. No one overtakes at the speed limit. If you do you're dumb.

As for my speedo yes I know it reads low.

Do they have the 10% or so inaccuracy for speedo in there or do you get booked for 1km over. I know when I was in vic a mate got done for 62km in a 60 zone. whick is f/n stoopid. I know I'd sit 8-9 over if it would attract the same fine.

Its just to easy to go 1 over.

All that has to happen is cruse control accelerates for a rise and I recon you will exceed the limit.

In saying that I dont see the need to speed as I have proven many a time in my little 4cyl sh*t box work car sitting on the limit in traffic and getting to work before or at the same time as someone speeding lane changing etc. The only time it makes up time is on long hauls like the nullabor. (which then I get done speeding :fishin: )

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Oh yeah and I love WA now for legal radar detectors :beerchug:
