Yeah the cooler definately looks the bizzo in black, mine arrived a few days ago, I'm impressed with the quality of the construction and welds, it's a fairly heavy unit also, what's that line out of Snatch "Heavy good, Heavy iz reliable".

I also got the same story that local stock was damaged, mine came direct from Hong Kong, no stamp but all the paperwork is genuine HDI, also go the bar and plate explanation about the stamping.

The price is excellent, it will be interesting to see the performance and repeatability. I've got no doubt that the site sponsors products are better designed and have had a lot more R & D testing and realworld testing done, you've only got to look at the proven results, but as far as the "you get what you pay for" comments are concerned that is only true to a degree, the main reason that stuff that comes from China is cheaper is predominately manufacturing costs, people cost money and in China they don't get paid much, it allows them to make a product of similar quality to the local manufacturers but sell it at a greatly reduced price, not particulary great for Aussie small business. Prime example is; my brother installs timber blinds, they used to make them in Australia, a very high quality product but a couple of years ago they outsourced there products to a manufacturer in China, they send there orders there and they come ready to install and the products are still as good as quality as what they were when they were made here. I think this is the case with the HDI coolers good product, good materials, made by people who get paid SFA, then sold at an extremely competative price.

Good for us blokes who are on a bit of shoe string, just not so great for the Aussie. Oh well when the budget allows I'll be going for one of the sites sponsors bigger and better products.

very nice jas stealthy indeed

just watch out for those jubilee clamps the hex head ones are the best if u can replace all urs for those I found the std type just pop off all the time pain in the ass

done a clean job champ

excellent choice of tuner too best see u out on next cruise

Hey Jasol looks good mate. I got an under battery CAI off Plazmaman and I wanted to get rid off the crossover. I ended up getting the top pipe off his stage 1 kit and cut a piece off the original HDI pipe to make it fit. He also welded in a tube on my HDI pipe so I can relocate the blow off valve. Cost about $ 100 all up.

yea I was I abit pissed it only came with 1 of em, I already broke one of the cheapo ones by over tightning it, I recon ill replace em with the same as the one on the xover

yea I went to HPT coz one of my mates I went to school works there and said bruce is really good plus they have me a good price knowing scott, cant wait till its done those 100+ kws are ganna be fun,

redback- that looks good, what UBP did you get? id love to have got rid off the x-over but mine is going to as standard as possible + I thing 300kw in a ute should be anouf I hope haha

yea I bet it is, mines slightly more noticeable with the hdi but I havnt opened it up wait to its tuned, so whats the plans with urs? seen your selling some of your gear to upgrade. what power are you level you looking to get? it will be good to see how the hdi goes with a bit more power put thru it

Well I think the engine will now be able to put out some high 300 figures with some boost behind it, but I dont think its is going to be safe for the engine or the auto. I think I will leave it at about 350-360 and even that will be pushing the auto. It is going into Tunehouse on Tuesday as I know I will be more satisfied with Jim's tuning. It sucks not being able to give the car a gut full. Not only will it run lean but I have put a 12psi actuator on and the boost will go over 20psi so I have been driving like a nanny. I will let you know how the cooler holds up and what the tuners feedback will be.
