Mate

Sorry about the delay in responding, but the reason I asked about the aircon as it would appear that the, forgotton the ccorrect terminolgy, but the dehumidifying part I beleive condensor dryer is no longer working. maybe just maybe and aircon service will help solve this issue.

Ultratune do standard aircon services, maybe go get one of thosed done and see what the report is. Somehopw somewhere moisture has got in your car and may well still be, but aircon and heater should fix this if working properly quickly and it should definately be an evey morning affair.

Ok, slight update. I let the car run down last night and set the a/c controls to recirculate while it was still running.

Thismorning just very slight misting on the windscreen the was gone within 10 seconds of the demister hitting it.

By the sound of it the system is supposed to self seal by closing the vent behind the glovebox but from this little experiment perhaps it isnt. No big drama, set to recirc and the problem would appear to be sorted.

Thanks people. :spoton:

Oh....and cobraV8....legend. Heat shields were all rattling around so they are about to find a new home....in the rubbish bin. Once again you saved me some cash! Cheers!

hey guys,

I've noticed a stale smell in the car and today found that the back seats right and left were wet near where the seatbelt comes out of. Do you think that this is also air con related. I've looked for water leaks but none to be seen.

thanks

FordXR6Turbo DIY - AirCon Filter Tray

Here's one from the old fella deeks ( :roflmbo: ). Some of you may not know it - but there is a air-conditioning filter tray just behind the glove box. This is the example with the BA. It's important to clean out the gunk in there regularly - I used to have BA where it got so clogged up - on a humid day it started to condense the cool air and water started dripping out like a small water fall. Ruined my carpets - nothing that could be dried out - but it was all preventable. Anyways - thanks to daztbo for showing us again here :beerchug:
