God it is bad enough now with just the turbo badge.....every 18yr old in a 4 pot japanese baked bean tin develops an irresistable urge to overtake the poor old XR. Making it stand out more would simply aggravate the problem.

Think I am kidding here? I have a neighbour with an 1800cc NA Nissan Pulsar....the usual one with the 5" exhaust tip and all the pulling power of a moped. He actually knocked on my door to see if I wanted to go for a drive and have a race.

:beerchug:

LOLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have said get the fk off my property you dikhat

ROTFLMAO @ the dude with his Palsar with 5" tip

And about the XR6T, I really thing it would gain if it had its own look, something to make it say wow XR6T, the XR8 has the bulge, a WRX has the bonnet scoop when you see a RX model of subaru you know it aint the beast and then the STi has its own look subtle but noticeable that you are driving the next step up model, I feel FORD/FPV have nailed this with the FG step up from a XR6/8 to a FPV, again subtle but noticeable. I think a few changes from the XR6 to XR6T would be neat nothing over the top, maybe just a new style grill, or maybe slightly wider mouth to see the intercooler and take the focus off the bonnet bulge and make something around the mouth/grill stand out and give it a look that ppl say damn I want a turbo cause of that awesome front end, just like ppl say damn I want an XR8 for that bonnet and so forth.

maybe just a red (or another colour that suits the colour of the car) ´T´after the ´6´...

that is an excellent idea...

Brakes would of been nice.

LOL, When I test drove the XR6T ute brakes felt ok, guess im in for a surprise when I get it home and fully drive it, then again my VY SS brakes are dog, big time, I had to buy cross drilled and vented for it, might have to do the same on the XR6???

Also was looking at some porsches and the styling from 911 to 911 turbo is neat and same as gt3 to gt2, noticeable and nice, Ford really need to come up with an iconic idea or touch for its Turbo version, its badge does not represent what the car is capable of that's forsure.

I love the guessing game. You roll up next to people (I rolled up next to some young guy in a new GTS this morning...) and they just about break their neck trying to figure out if its a turbo or not. They then take off in a hurry just in case, and I smoothly take off without any fuss and end up next to them again at the next set of lights. This happens for the next 3 sets of lights... By this time, he figures that mines just an NA because Im not taking his bait and having a go...so he then takes off normally at the set of lights while I stand on it, almost immediately the front of his car lifts trying desperately to catch up... and in this instant, he sees the little turbo badge on the rear, but its too late, im already gone.

I love that the only external differences are the sole badge and the cooler (I prefer mine black) it makes sure that no-one takes ANY xr6 for granted....

The black cooler on mine amused me once as the rear passengers of a Soarer were all twisting around and trying to see under the mouth to pick it as a T or not hahaha...I've even seen a police officer on a motorbike duck down to look as he drove the other way. Great balance of useability and performance. I use mine as my daily work car too driving around, sometimes taking big boxes of stock along with me. Really need a tough cover for the reas seats though, gets a bit worrying sometimes that I'll rip something

My brakes work well for road use so , certainly surprised my mates when I first got it...but I do have the PBRs that came standard on mine.

I'll agree again a red T on the badges woulda been good :)

As many have said, "functional" BONNET VENTS to help with heat dissipation on the Turbo models. Tested and actually made large enough so that they really do work not just look pretty.

Proper boost gauge, oil temp, oil pressure gauges etc incorporated into the console. Make it an option at least on XR models.

Better brakes (as standard fit) than whats on the XT models. The XR's should have better brakes! They don't have to be Brembo's (leave them for the FPV's). But they should be much better than your Taxi XT spec cars, this to me is a big joke.

Other than that, the cars look fine as they are, ok maybe a delete rear spoiler option with the G6ET lip style rear spoiler. Not a fan of rear wings that do SFA.
