Hey all,

Well the damage is alot worse than I first thought. Not only have I done the diff I've also done the axles/cv's.

Whats the best replacement for these? I've been quoted about $1,900 each for some top of the line ones that will take more of a beating and withstand big horsepower, which will be good down the track, but at the moment I'd rather not spend any where near that much. Is there any other alternatives that are a bit better than the stock item? Or should I just go back to stock?

Also, I live in Ipswich - where abouts around here (With in an hours drive) can I get either standard CV's at a good price, or something better than stock that isnt $1,900ea

Cheers. Mitch.

Just got one quote of about $200 - $250 each if they are the same as an XR8 - can any one confirm?

Depends on where they are from mate, if they are from CBC then they will break easier than your stock ones. I gotta say though, for the stock ones to last as long as they did in my car they can't be that bad. IF you get stockers for $600 a side you are doing well.
