If its attention seekingly loud you might want to consider some changes.

Posted 21/06/09 12:12 AM Share Posted 21/06/09 12:12 AM Years ago I had a letter sent to me in the mail from the EPA(I think). Went to Midas and they did a free test. Pretty rough on the details but it had to be below 90db 1.5m away on the 45degree angle.

My exhaust is stock so it passed with flying colours.. I read in your sig that you have a full exhaust, if it is loud than get an exhaust shop to put a quieter muffler on it and swap it back over after the test..The test from memory is about $37..Good luck.. The speeding ticket for the misses and you owning the car probably avoided a second ticket for the BOV. Take the car and your EPA referral as is and score some EPA fines, or remove the BOV (atmosphere venting) return the airbox to normal if that's also an issue, and make the exhaust quiter, ensuring the cat is legit. Put it all back on after this is done if you like and the risk another referral down the track.Go through this too many times in the one year and the RTA will now cancel your rego. And do you really think they cared yours was better sounding?I.B.
