Do You Prefer Auto Or Manual

What do you prefer?

Auto or Manual.

They both have there benefits...

I like manuals on the track, but Auto's are good at the drags.

But for everyday driving my personal preference is a manual.

I used to love manuals, but after four years of having an automatic Explorer and now having the Sequential Shift automatic XR6, I like not having to worry about the gear shifts in traffic.

That and the auto box in the XR6 is smooth as...

I have one of each. I voted manual, considering the sport orientation of the site

I had a drive of a BA XT with the sports shift on it. That was ok... but my foot kept going for a clutch.

I must admit - the change was very smooth in that. a lot better than the older ones (like the AU's and EF/EL's)

I too like the auto in the XT I drove. Wonder what the FPV cars will have considering the sports shift on the base cars

I drove the sequential shift and it was excellent. Much better that the previous models. But I must say I would prefer the manual as for me I felt more in control. But that's just me.

I love driving. For me it is a bit of an escape so I really want to DRIVE the car. It has to be a manual.

I find manual best as when you let the clutch out you always have 100% drive from the engine, no slippage. You are more in control of the engine, it doesn't kick back a gear unless you want to. Although after driving XR6T auto I prefered to leave in drive.
