When I dropped it off he said that the FG flapper was bigger than the ba/bf. FMD he wasn't kidding! It's almost as big as what is done in the modifying of them. And look at all that seat space, could still be made bigger again.

Be interesting to see if theres any change in the way boost performs.

LOLmust be there method for easy location of position for balancing.Wow is a lot better than Barra spec housing, still have the problem of the flapper being in theway of flow. was going to go this way but decided to go all out and go with TO4z manifold and Ext Gate Progate 50 Check this out, looks to be a good option for internal gatehttp://www.atpturbo.com/root/releases/release103105.htm

I will get some pics of the old one. 4 stud holes had cracked to the outside edge, and when a stud was screwed into it at stone cold temp, the crack would open, imagine it at a 1000 degrees plus! Hence one of my bolts completely missing also. There was a crack to both sides of the wastegate port, one to the inner of the exhaust housing, another just under the port on the inards of the housing.Looks nice... was the previous housing opened up? Be interesting to see if theres any change in the way boost performs. The original was opened up by Danny. The FG measures perfectly round is approx 1.5mm smaller than what my original was opened to.We think it will spike badly, as Danny also shapes the path for flow.Interestingly though, in having a chat to Peter at Rotomaster I learned they had the Ford engineer who designed the turbs, visit, and he said that at factory boost levels, they run at 900 degrees and are subject to crack at anything over 1000. Controlling EGT is what saves them from cracking. The Garrett man said that drilling a small hole and placing a probe in the exhaust housing, just above where it joins the manifold, and live monitoring the temps helps avoid to high a temp.
