did you go complete eng or just short??? I hope to change it because I want to not have to so that should help abit but I've allowed for everything just in case but your right its amazing how it all adds up.

Yeah if you wouldnt mind could you please get an idea for me. I did ask pat a while ago but I cant remember what it came to. I probably dont need to go to the big one like you, as id only like low 500's but just in case I get the bug even further ive got a solid base to work from.

no I was lucky that nothing was damaged at all.. like he said it was probably the head gasket that went.. so he used my block and rebuilt that.. he has pictures from when he built it just have to get them off him.. all the wall thicknesses were fine and no cracks and no damage to the head.. just did the oil pump gears and the mod he does to the housing

you not wrong just for them 3 things that over $1000 bucks there lol.. yeah no worries mate I can do for ya no probs.. that's it do it once, that's why I got the girdle put on for later down the track, but if I up grade the turbo later on I will be happy with 450-500 lol.. hahaha no doubt the bug will bite later on again

I cant see it getting any better for me ive got it bad so it'll be cheaper in the long run I suspect to go all out straight up. Guess we'll have to wait & see how things go as to what needs replacing as we go.

Thanks & good luck with it keep us up to date & remember plenty of pics from the wkend.

well picked up injectors yesterday after getting them flow tested and cleaned.. they are with in 1% of each other so happy with that.. got engine mounts today bolted them on and finally got the motor back in the car and all bolted back up to the gear box so just have to bolt everything else back on. also got the exhaust and new cat bolted on. motor went back in and bolted back up in 30 mins pretty happy with that..

Good to see it's starting to come back together for you mate. I still don't know what's happened to mine yet, so still waiting to see what's damaged and how much I'm up for. Best of luck with it champ!
