yeah lucky it was not too serious.. well the clutch is slipping now I bet they never cleaned the oil off it before they put it back it grrrr...

not sure when its going to get tuned.. im just about over the car and might sell it soon.. looks like the main seal is starting to leak again

They recon when it rains it pours. Need to get it to a workshop & get them to go over everything so you can just enjoy it again rather than worrying about something everytime you take it out.

yeah when it rains it pours.. all this sh*t happening with my back it is still not fixed after 2 operations and the insurance company cuts your pay over 60% after 26 weeks so wont be able to afford the car... will get it tuned probably next week then probably have to sell it as I wont be able to afford it..

yeah kyle I just did what what it says with the book you will get with the motor mate.. I cant give it heaps till I get it tuned again probably next week...

Are they sure its the rear main seal that's leaking. All the ones we do at work never leak from the rear main seal. The main leaks from the rear on these things are either the rear main bearing cap to block join didnt get proper sealant on assembly or side sump bolts not proper sealant or even the rocker cover leaking at the back and running down. Hopefully they pressure tested the engine when the gearbox was out to find exactly where the leak is coming from. Ask them if they pressure tested it.

nar mate its deffently coming around the main seal.. its not leaking as much as it was with the the gunuine ford seal that's in there now.. they never have any problems with all the motors they do so its got me f*cked, I must just have the worse luck ever.. I will be giving him a ring tomorrow and see what he has to say.. its deffently not coming from the rocker cover and not sure if they preasure tested it.. it probably is coming from rear main bearing cap and leaking through.. just a *beep* of a job to fix and im not taking the motor out agian to fix it..

see what he has to say anyway I dont think is as good a setup as its suppose to be.........

Yep,that's bad luck if its the bearing cap as yeah engine needs to come out or k.frame needs to be removed. I do know that NIZPRO has a way of fixing the bearing cap leak with just pulling the box out though so maybe give them a call if it is that. Hopefully goodluck to you once this leak is soughted.

Far out Geoff! This is really frustrating to read, let alone have it happen to your own car!

I didn't get any leaks out of the two I've helped put together from Atomic - one using the ford seal and one using the aftermarket one!

yeah its bad luck that's for sure.. im taking the car back in on monday and pulling the box out again.. I just dont think it has enough sealant around the baring cap and around the sump cos its got a bit of a leak down the side of the sump now too.. so no doubt the sump will have to come off to fix that.. just a big headache takes the joy out of having a new motor... yeah pat it cant be the seals as its on its third one and has the ford seal now and is not leaking as much as it did with the ACL seal...
