CHLAXN Donating Members 932 Member For: 16y 8m 17d Gender: Male Location: north QLD Posted 10/08/09 05:47 AM Author Share Posted 10/08/09 05:47 AM (edited) yeah mate these things happen, a bit of a bummer but that's cars for you lol.. but had a call from atomic before and all is good.. he said the seal had worked its way out some how and was not sitting in there properly so it was leaking.. so he said the inside of the seal might not of been a perfect circle and when the car started it has grabed its self and came loose.. they put a new seal in and run the car for about half hour with the flywheel and is not leaking.. like he said he had not seen this happen before so was just unlucky im just glad he sorted it all out for me.. go and pick it up in the morning..nar it was not a brand new block mine was still in perfect condition as it looked like only the head gasket had let go, but did not no till the motor had been pulled apart.. so insted of just buying a new short motor he rebuilt mine so I kept the same engine number and saved a few dollars too Edited 10/08/09 05:57 AM by CHLAXN Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I checked the coils and they are all sparking.. will pull the plugs out tomorrow and have a look..anyone got any ideas what this could be??? just seems to be one thing after another.. I'm thinking fuel... perhaps a kink in a line or a bit of gunk (or spiders) got in the line while it was on the street?It could also be that the engine isn't happy in it's new home (has it become 'self-aware'?... hello Hal), perhaps a tune will fix it up. CHLAXN Donating Members 932 Member For: 16y 8m 17d Gender: Male Location: north QLD Posted 12/08/09 07:59 AM Author Share Posted 12/08/09 07:59 AM lol yeah new bloody engines I dont no haha.. well the whole fuel system was all sealed off while the engine was out and had done like 160kms before it happened.. yeah well it was fuel problem.. 1 of my injectors decided to give up and die.. atomic had a brand new injector sitting around went and picked it up and put it in and all is sweet..I have not seen an injector give up before, first time for everything.. funny because I got them cleaned and flow tested the other week and they were working perfect till the drive home yesterday.. glad that problem is sorted now just hope this main seal does not leak again..
