Sure it hasn't got the big top end but for street use and track work this size turbo is hard to beat. Response and spool up is excellent.Benny

Benny Member 1,869 Member For: 21y 4m 6d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle Posted 16/06/09 08:55 AM Share Posted 16/06/09 08:55 AM Rick,I'm still running a standard oem filter so the noise isn't that much louder but there is a slight increase with the extra boost my tune is running. Once I decide on a cold air intake and filter then I'd expect the noise to increase. Benny

Not sure if its all true butThe Turbo on the FG XR6 is a miss-match.They use the same compressor wheel as a GT2540R but mounted on a GT35R turbine. What they did with the turbo is a bit of a bandaid solution to the real problem. With so many better options available it seems they have taken the cheapest easiest path. The FG XR6 turbo is defiantly not a better turbo than the BA/BF and FPV GT3582R turbo. If you are looking for a bolt on sideways step from the FG turbo that will outperform the FG turbo in every way try a GT3076R with a internally wastegated 1.06 A/R.The only cool thing about the FG XR6 turbo is the bigger wastegate flap
