Compressing/resetting springs is just plain dumb, this is why nobody has replied.

It will cost you almost the same for new springs, where compressed springs will never be anywhere near as good.

When you reset the spring, it changes the compression rate and can make handling unpredictable and will usually soften the spring.

Rather than compressing the spring, get a set of King SL or SSL for about $200 a pair.

:stupid:

You know when you see a VL attempting to turn a corner like a beached whale? That's compressed springs

As Zap said, proper lowered springs cost SFA, and these cars aren't VLT's, so do it properly :stupid:

springs like these arent for the faint hearted.....

021.jpg

but theres no way king or any other brand would make them at the height both the op and myself want....

also it does handles like sh*t. not as bumpy as you think just cant turn full lock unless its dead flat road... they also get a vibration transferred through the ass end at that height.

if you want to look like everyone else get SSL.... if you want the car to look sick and stand out... get them compresssed..... ive had mine like that for 6months + and its now turbo with dose pipe etc and still am yet to get pulled over......

Far out that's low dude.

I was following a SSS pulsar with cut springs a few nights agon on the Hume hwy through Fairfield, this thing was on its bump stops and bouncing like crazy!

Every bump it hit the car rebounded 4 times, and with the hoodies in the front bouncing up and down, it was the funniest thing Ive seen on the road for ages lol

I compressed my springs at all springs in sydney....

I have a fg xr6t... and to tell you the truth the handling has improved and the ride is fine... ive had king springs and other springs in my previous cars and I cant really notice the difference... im very happy with the springs at the moment! :)

For anyone who thinks it is cool to lower your car to such an extent, I hope you do not kill anyone with your cool car when you hit apothole and then a tree.

Having a car as low as Bentles is plain dangerous and dumb. Suspension is not put in a car to make it look uncool, it is there to absorb bumps and ensure the wheels are in contact with the road through all conditions. Modifying suspension to be that low is just asking for problems.

How you have not been defected by the police is beyond me. You must also chew through the tyres with that much camber on the wheels.

Aside from looks, there is no justifable reason to have a car that low. It would handle much worse than a correctly setup car at a much higher ride height.

I will not even comment on LT5PLA's statement
