what issues do the FGs have when you remove the seat?

will it cause error codes etc?

will these error codes affect warranty? etc

You'll get teh airbag light since they come with side airbags in the seat, aside from that I don't think there would be anything else... Oh maybe the beltminder thing cos there is a sensor in the seat for that.

Dropping some buckets in Tocchi?

yeh, got a brand spanking new Bride Low Max sitting about itching to be used somewhere.

so its going in for track days. and stock seats put back in for daily driving

if it throughs up an error code, I think ford would just wipe the codes, seeing as the car hasnt been flashed or anything.

I got an airbag error warning and the "transmission not in park" (even though I have a manual) when I did my stereo. Removed the seats with the battery unplugged. Got the warning when I started her back up the first time. Turned it all the way off and then back on and it was all good. Not sure how you will go when driving with all the plugs not hooked up. Will be a sh*t if it chimes at you constantly for not wearing your seat belt.

ok little update.

remove the seats, first time you turn the car on, you get the "transmission not in park" message.

turned car off... it went away

but everytime I turn the car on, I get the "airbag error" msg flash on digital dash, but it goes away.

just leaves 2 little error icons... no biggy.. ford can remove them at services.

Where did you get the "tool" to unbolt the seats? It has a star like bolt. I am removing my seats to add leather retrims but need the "tool" so I can take the seats out....

Please forgive my noobieness

The 'star' tool you refer to are known as Torx bits.

I can't remember the exact size you need for the seat mounts, but you should be able to buy a kit from any reputable hardware store.
