Cruise Route

Leave the McDonalds/Shell (so feed up / fuel up here) on South Gippsland Hwy and head at a nice easy pace towards Cranbourne then Loch (meet up with the Wonni guys at Lang Lang Shell about 11am). Toilet break pitstop at Loch (but don't get coffee here as lunch is a short drive away and you may throw up your coffee anyway :3some: ). From Loch we snake on south through 35 kms of glorious twisties (well yeah some would call this bit pure porn so yeah pun intended ) before stopping in for lunch in Wonni. Here donza reckons we can go to the Workman's club for a $15 meal deal (more below) or you can just choose your own place to eat. Leave to head off to a photo opp just outside of Wonthaggi. Then onwards back home up the dual lane Bass Hwy. Afternoon coffee pitstop / photo opp near the Tooradin bakery by the bridge for those of us not in a hurry to get home.

Trip Notes: approx. 200km round trip from meet point, all on sealed roads (except 150m dirt road near Wonni photo opp), approx. 1/4 tank fuel from full, approx. 10:30am - 4pm including lunch and photo opps.

Meet Point: McDonalds/Shell in Lynbrook (park in McDonalds carpark) on the M420 South Gippsland Hwy on the way to Cranbourne.

Depart: 10:30am

Lunch in Wonthaggi. For those interested, donza has arranged with the manager of the Workman's club there a meal deal which is we can have a choice of two mains, and dessert, mains are fish and chips, or chicken parma. 50.50 choice all for $15.00. Good on ya donza

What to Bring:

1. CB - I have some loaners if anyone needs one for the cruise - please PM EvilDaifu to reserve one.

2. Camera for photo opps.

3. Coinage for fuel and lunch/coffee breaks.

Rules:

In order for every body to have a good time, a few rules have been implemented. Failure to abide by these rules will ensure you are not invited to future events held by FordXR6Turbo.com.

The reasons for these rules are:

1. Safety - We don't want to put any of our members, and the general public in any danger.

2. Public Perception - We do not want the Ford XR6 Turbo community to face the same ridicule and stereotypes other car communities face.

The rules are simple:

a. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines etc... Any breaches will be reported to the local police.

b. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members.

c. Use the Buddy system; always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn and to make sure nobody gets lost or left behind.

d. CB Radios; if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. If you do have one, please limit chatter during the twisty parts of the cruise. This will allow the cruise leader to relay information about road conditions, upcoming obstacles, etc. efficiently.

e. By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, its Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Organisers, or Owners responsible/liable for any damage and/or grief sustained (simply; if you stuff up it's your fault, not ours).

f. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask before the cruise.

Hi Dillz, would be nice to have you join us

Spoke with donza and he will investigate one of our lunch stop venue options - we might be able to get some sort of meal deal, but no guarantees. He said he also has some XR mates out wonni way who might come along so we may meet up with them at the Lang Lang Shell servo. If that's the case, I'll add that as the 2nd meet point.

By the way, you can join and leave the cruise where ever you like. Just thought I'd say that out loud so all knew.

We'll be using CBs so let me know if anyone would like to borrow one.

Yep I will try and make this one this time! Hard to get pass out with 18 month old and mrs works saturdays. Will endeavour to get the in laws babysittting! Hope to see you there!
