Changing the whole lines is the only way out as replacing the rubber o ring on the screw on bolt will NOT fix the leak. The Power steering High Pressure hose/return lines inc the attached metal lines/bolt can be purchased from the wreckers but its best to get a genuine replacement one from Ford. I fixed the alternator initially by flushing it through with degreaser but now the regulator is shot. Owell, $177 from motor traders (coventry group) for a new genuine Bosch alternator is not to bad. Posted 11/07/09 01:01 PM Share Posted 11/07/09 01:01 PM Hi Davidald,Yeah mate, I read another topic just b4 saying that you can separate the Hp hose from the screw instead of replacing the whole lines. lol Too bad I just repalced mine yesterday oh well, atleast I know if I have this issue again it wont be as expensive next time round. Its such a pitty one thing leads to antoher hence why I recommend ppl to check their Hp hose and bolts to prevent this from happening.
