We probably should be, as everyones aftermmarket fmic, BOV, exhaust mods, pod filters and Capa tunes without engineering certificates are all in breach of ADR's.I.B.True they are but the most vital part or system on any car is the brakes, why would you run the risk of having an accident and loosing all insurance let alone any other charges that may arrise from the issue. Brakes are one area I wouldnt fark with from an insurance stand point, its an easy out for the insurer in any front ender. Brakes dont work without them. But I get your drift in that it is good to see ppl willing to upgrade braking and suspension systems instead of the just doing the go fast bits. And I think your more in line to wear charges as the result of non-compliant braking components in the event the most unfortuante should happen.Insurance as well would be completely voided.I.B. Guest Guests Posted 14/06/09 10:16 AM Share Posted 14/06/09 10:16 AM I said system not component :headbang2: .But you get what I mean, you just need to see how many modded Ts & F6s are ending up in panel shops and at the auctions. Alot have been modded, barley any have brake upgrades. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/58528-wilwood/page/2/#findComment-890947 Share on other sites

I was going to just upgrade my pads and rotors but then if/when I decide to go 4 pot brembos up front I'm having to fork out another 1500-2000 to change my fronts out. Yes they work great, can I get a nice solid pedal? NOPE!!!! no amount of bleeding the brakes helps, the problem comes down to flex. seems the wilwoods aren't overly solid and while they do work well for a while eventually they lose strength and start bending.
