Hi Adrian,

As Muz Said with a edit box you will get a note saying gap your plugs between .75-.80mm. The NGK are gapped at 1.1 which when you regap them the electroid is not square so it will be good at first then as it wears it will be too wide!

Go to your Ford Dealer get your self a set of motorcraft platnium plugs for the BF Typhoon they are gapped at .90 so the slight change to .75mm they are still quit square & will last for 100,000km(but change them at 40,000).

Not much more to pay for quality.

Muzza.

Muzza thanks for the post but I only read it today and I fitted the NGKs on Saturday.

With the right tools it makes the plugs quite square enough and what can I say..... the results speak for themselves. top end of the rev range is very smooth now.

Thanks guys for your help.

I have recently received mu cappa box and flashed the 10 psi tune to my 2004 BA T I ran like that 4 a day and was very impressed with the the power gain, I then re gapped my plugs to .8mm and the car seems to have lost some of the power gain ...

the car runs smooth enough but the power lost concerns me.

should I regap mthem to .85 or what,,, the car has done almost 90000 ks should I buy new plugs and if so what type

It would be a good idea to get new ones, lots of people have there own opinon but it up to you.

For a standard T with only a flash turner you should have no problem with standard ones but it would be better to atleast but some typhoon plugs as they can only be better.

As for the power loss, there is now a smaller spark with the smaller gap which might loose a bit of power (stuff all) but will have less chance of blowing out.

.8 is good also, its not to big or small but .85 wouldnt hurt with your mods either.
