I have the full tein kit with the electronic controller .I find them way too hard for street use even on full soft there great on smooth roads, but we cont have many of them in Adelaide

A mate has just got a set of the pedders coil over and they seem a better alternative.

I think the biggest problem is the spring rate is too high, does any one know what it is ??

there are 2 models, the heaviest rates are 670/436 in the "performance" model and not good on rough roads. The "street" spec is softer and what you should get if you are concerned about ride on poor surfaces.

I have the "Performance" version Teins and I don't think they are too hard for the street at all. Yeah they are very firm, but the quality of the dampers is right up there. VERY compliant considering how firm they are for street use. I haven't got the EDFC and run them at near full hard but I could count on half a hand the amount of times I've experience tramp.

Try this thread for spring rates: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=54039

yep, here is the info on the 2 different Tein Models for B series

Tein “Performance” Spec Part No. QSJ66-EZAS3

Spring Rate 670lb/in Front, 436lb/in Rear

Tein “Street” Spec Part No. QSJ24-EZAS3

Spring Rate 523lb/in Front, 340lb/in Rear

I'd call Fulcrum in QLD, I am sure they would sell the springs seperately if you need them.

Bosco, just buy the lower rate springs from Fulcrum. I have the high spring rates and have no problem with them on the street, like Straughsberry.
