Dave's BA motor failed yesterday in a spectacular fashion at a test n tune here in Mackay. He blew the motor at half track, and still managed a 11.0! It has punched 2 or 3 holes in the block, and there were bits of conrods, pistons and block all the way down the track! Unbelievably, the car still runs with 3 rods gone.... Dave is dissappointed he didn't get the chance to run another 9 second pass with the old BA clunker motor, but one positive was the car was the quickest its ever been to the 1/8th mile, so it was looking very good until the failure.Might be finally the time that we see what Dave can do with a proper built engine!CheersLeppy

Even on a ordinary night with your engine popping you cant take anything but positives away from it.What was the track like?

It was sad to see Daves engine let go, it definately went out with a BANG!! Looking forward to seeing how the new engine will go.
