she looked like I hit the transbrake off the mark, but that was just the hand and foot brake.

I was just thinking, if anyone doubted it was a stock motor, those bits should prove to all it was just our humble little BA clunker.

a mate of mine's supra does the same thing, gas motorsport said its the race fuel that smokes orange

Running United 100, I've noticed that inside of the exhaust is orangish in colour.. Like rust.. I'd say its linked to ethanol absorbing water hense the rustish colour..

Yep, looks like piston failed from damage, unless you got valve float from the extra boost.

did the crown have any tell tale signs or any bent valves.

you had me all excited in going to push mine a little harder but now I think I will keep

it sedate until I build my new engine.

Good luck on your new engine as you will have a great starting point to build from.

When I ran Nulon Pro strength in my nike to try and get rid of pinging, the tailpipe went pinkish. Must be something in High octane or octane boosters.

I would have felt it if I had valve float, the car was stronger then it ever has right up untill the blowup, its 2 and 4 with follow each other. valves are good except one where a bit of metel got under it before I shut.

no even the top of the broken ones still looked like it had been driving around town, I just think it came to the limit of the load the stock pistons could cope with, all other rods are straight and all pistons and rings look sweet,

Just noticed your car gets a mention in this months Street Machine, Bob Kotmel's page. There is a small pic too. Well done with the run, shame about the blown engine now but im sure you will be onto bigger things now.
