Anyone Lowered An Fg Ute Yet?

Lowered my car the other day...It sits pretty Low but because of the 20's she still has loads of clearance and no drama's over speed humps or steep driveways. might have to chuck on 12mm spacers on the rear wheels though...

its not that bad mate. on 20's the ute was lifted pretty high.

all I have really done is bring it back down to where it was before the bigger wheels went on.

still has plenty ground clearance and cant see there being any stress on the shaft.

Stock power. Driveways with a rise and then drop (over a footpath or something) pose big problems but generally if its just up or down, its fine on an angle. The tailshaft seems to be ok. Out of warranty now and its got ever so slight amounts of play. At 130kph or so theres a vibration and shudder through the car, but im hoping that's just wheel weights. I have a whine between 104kph and 108kph but only when im on the gas, could be the diff but not really bothering me. The fronts wear quite badly on the inside, which cant be altered during an alignment so I think I need something aftermarket, any ideas?

If they're wearing the inside you might have a bit of camber? Its not scrubbing on the inside of the wheel arch somewhere?

No its close to the suspension but does not rub, I think I just need all the camber taking out, but im already on the maximum adjustment according to the tyre shop. Maybe they are just cockends though.

Lol may well be. Are they giving you though, the maximum camber. Or maximum amount to try and get rid of the camber? Might be confused with what you want? Everyone makes mistakes and might've misunderstood what you wanted? Try another shop and see what they reckon
