In regards to a GTHO I'd think if Ford where to consider such a venture, it would need to be priced below $100K. The W427 looks a bit silly priced next to the Nissan GT-R to be honest. Then again so does the M3...Article Here: http://www.carsguide.com.au/site/news-and-...should_be_wild/

Will be called a Boss 302, but word is that's only marketing talk to not upset GT owners, cause its supposed to have the full monty 315.Rumoured to be 300 sedans, 100 utes. Venom XR6 Member 1,460 Member For: 21y 6m 22d Location: Geelong Victoria Posted 20/07/09 02:18 AM Share Posted 20/07/09 02:18 AM Its a limited run build, designed to boost sales. No different to what HSV have done with the limited run of stripped out VE Senators that were 10k less than the Senator Signiture. I think they built 100 of them.It offers a cheaper entry into an FPV.A least FPV don't sell an Astra VXR. Now that's bloody ridiculous.

Or am I showing my stupidity here

Didnt mention HSV..dont care what HSV did.I'm saying if they want to be called a 'Performance' company its about friggin time they started concentrating on it rather than grabbing for bucks with all these abortions they keep spitting out on a monthly basis, when all they are is the same car with a different sticker on the boot...They wont even go to the extent of putting a different body kit on the bloody things to differentiate the models... stev3n Member 41 Member For: 18y 6m 2d Posted 07/08/09 08:07 AM Share Posted 07/08/09 08:07 AM Just read current august wheels mag hinting at a 351ci V8.I rebember an article in wheels in about 1999 the 351 was going to return, cover story titled "welcome back big mutha", as you know it didn't happen. Instead they bought out a V8 with 3kW more than a n/a Xr6.I would hate to see a GTHO badged falcon released if it didn't live up to the name. Keep this title for something really special, like a s/c or twin turbo V8 model not a 10 or 15kW increase over standard V8 engine. A GTHO badge should demand this sort of respect I love the sound of a high revving V8 as much as the next bloke but I'd rather a motor that made MASSIVE torque just above idle. Don't want to see ford going down the same path as holden. The early SS commodores used to be weapons, now the current SS's are lucky to keep up with a well tuned turbo diesel or xr6t.
