One model will be the FPV GS, a cheaper version of the GT based on an XR8. Will be called a Boss 302, but word is that's only marketing talk to not upset GT owners, cause its supposed to have the full monty 315.

Rumoured to be 300 sedans, 100 utes.

Preaching to the converted mate - most of my week will be with these friggin things.

The first F6Es have now been built, plus the new sedans and utes

Don't know why they don't just use the same v8 that's in the new jag xf???

It's 5 litres, has about 285kw in NA form and makes less emissions than the current xr6 turbo?

And, there is a 375kw supercharged version too.

It has direct injection and variable valve timing which should help bottom end torque and ford owns jag don't they??

Why spend money developing a new engine?

Hey Guys,

I havnt been on here in months but am looking at getting another T and I miss this place. Great discussions everywhere.

My 2 Cents:

A valuable insider at ford tells me the new 5.0l will be alot lighter as we all know but apparently the XR8 guise will not be good for bragging rights against Holden. Telling me the XR8 power will not increase and possibly decrease by a small amount. We all know that if the motor loses 10kw but is also 100kg's lighter the car will still be alot quicker and more controlable but unfortunatly everyone loves power bragging rights.

I highly doubt a power loss, ford would be silly to do so I would say these are my power predictions:

XR8 : 290KW - 300KW

GT & GTP: 325 - 335KW

If and when the GTHO is built I would suggest a S/C: 375kw +

As for the XR6T and F6 I doubt a power increase yet. If they do increase power they need better rubber.

Ben
