I would love my car to be a ripper on the road but do not know where to start as ive never been into cars up until I purchased myself this lil beauty.any ideas on how I can get my car to go faster? coz its stil not beating my mates stock Expensive Daewoo VE Bogan special and its S*&$$@(G me!!!I will be so greatful for your feedback! Don't trust generics. Get the car checked on a dyno as a minimum to make sure it's running safely.A good custom tune should see you get approx 250 rwkwAnyone who reckons they are getting 300rwkw with a generic tune ( comes with the box) is speakingtotal http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/Mods-To-Power-Comparison-t38174.htmlTo achive 300rwkw safely you will need a hi flow cat , injectors, fuel pump etcand definately a new clutchhttp://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/Mal-Wood-Automotive-f86.htmlhave read , hope this helps
Ashleigh001 Member 6 Member For: 15y 8m 28d Gender: Male Posted 18/10/09 10:08 AM Share Posted 18/10/09 10:08 AM thnx for the info,iv since had a heavy duty clutch put into the car since the stock one on the car was completely stuffed and running basic capa 10psi tune, and I have been looking for exhaust systems and somewhere to get a dyno tune on my car but the amount of money im bieng quoted differs so much from performance shop to shop! bout a grand diff in some cases. I have the injecters fuel pump and valve springs ready to go and looking at the exhaust but unfortunately because im not knowing what to expect from upgrades in thse departments but 250rwkw does sound good but 300+ sounds better from what I have been reading in the forums,I dont mean to be rude but what sort of price will I be looking at for a dyno tune once I have had these extras installed I have been quoted $600 ish to $1800 depending on place in perth and most were quite rude and didnt realy care for my business any1 from perth able to help out with the right place to go for Dyno tune, dnt mind going for a drive to get the dyno so basicly anywhere in perth that's good for a dyno is good for me :D

Simon is a very busy bloke so I'd say give the shop a phone call would be the best bet. He's in Midland area, check out his threads, some very nice cars in his shop. I've had my car serviced there and personally found him to be a good bloke car wise and otherwise. I'm likely to be going to him once I collect a few bits for the car for my first custom tune.Unlucky on not beating your mate's stock VE SS. I have a BFII with the ZF auto, and I've pipped a purple chev badged one (adds 15kW so I hear! ) on his private road, about a car length and shifted manually on my part. More definite results to be had at the 'plex though plus you get to set PBs and stick a time in your sig hehehe http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/Xtreme-Ford-Tuning-f101.html
