Member 1,742 Member For: 16y 8m 6d Gender: Male Location: Earth Posted 09/06/09 07:35 AM Share Posted 09/06/09 07:35 AM Just do what I did until you have an amp to power up the splits.Run new cable through the door jamb grommet, pain in the you know what of a job, for the mid and new cable up through the dash to the tweeter.Use the existing signal wire to your door speaker as the input for the crossover that you can mount under the dash area. Donating Members 2,852 Member For: 17y 8d Gender: Male Location: Vic Somewhere - Sometimes NSW Posted 09/06/09 11:32 AM Share Posted 09/06/09 11:32 AM ha ha phx... u sure your not leb with a half arsed job like that?cragin, yes at some point you will need to add in an extra amp, or upgrade to a bigger (more channels) amp...so if you can afford to do it now, might be a great chance to do so...If your changing the 2 front speakers then you will need 1 channel for each of the "speakers" (woofer and tweeter together if running a crossover is 1x speaker made up of 2x drivers)...So if you change both the fronts and rears, you will need a 4ch for the 4x speakers.....Might be worth getting a amp for this and running the sub from a separate amp also...
