Interesting read to see what boost/power ppl are running, but just to step sideways a little....can someone shed some light in regards to boost and how it affects compression....I was once told told that for every pound of boost we put into these cars it ups the comp by 1....is this correct???? how much compression can these engines make/handle????

Thx in advance....

Its more so a combination of boost and timing through the midrange... in the early days, some of the excitable tuners pumped loads of boost and timing into BA motors, and heaps broke rods befor they hit 300kws... tuning has come along way since those days, so I doupt many of you have much to worry about now.

Low to Mid 300s from 15psi is the norm these days, and should be safe when used with good intercooling/fuel/exhaust and common sense.
