Have you tried the Redbook price range?

I just got my renewal for insurance and they reckon the agreed value of mine is now only $37700.

I dare say you'll be disappointed with what it's actually worth in the market at the moment.

keep in mind what the new car prices are guys, you can pick up jan-may built vehicles for as little $43K on the road (no options of course) so this will reflect on the used car market. We recently traded an 08 FG XR6T Luxury pack manual for $35K, had about 14,000k's on it too.

Without mods, you'd look at the low 30's for a trade in price (or selling to the dealer).

With mods, and depending on the colour (trust me, this is a big thing on private sellers), plus with only 3,000km, I'd say you'd get around 40-42k for it.

Have a look at www.carpoint.com.au and compare. I got my ex demo FG from a dealer with 3700k's on the clock for $45k, but it came with loads of factory options (sig), so I don't think you'd be able to sell it for more than that.

Have you tried the Redbook price range?

not sure where redbook get their stats from but they ALWAYS seem to undervalue ANY car!!!! It seems the only people would would really get anything out of this service is the dealers/second hand car dealers, offering people very littlel for their cars

If BF2's actually sold for the price redbook state, Id be driving around in one now!

On the contrary, I feel Red Book is very accurate. Comparing Red Book to Car Sales will make RB values seem low, cars never sell for their advertised price though

be it at a dealer or on Car Sales(especially).

Agree on the comment regarding the purchase. If your going to buy a new car, best have it for at least 3-4 years or your really just keeping the dealers in business.

I'm in my late 20s and have done the house first, now saving for the FG T... One asset goes up in value, one goes down. House first. :spoton:

I think folks here are on the right track - low to mid 30s without your mods

Since my local dealer is offering new 09s for 43,500 driveaway with no negotiation you'd really struggle paying any more than that for something that wasn't brand new and to your own specs, and also been a bit fiddled with. Next owner will also be factoring in onroads on top of that of course

I'm also building a house so feel where you're coming from - just dropped back to a BA XR6 to get me around in for a while, and once it's all done the FG will be getting on 2 years old and time for some good deals :)
