I also have an ex police BFII XR6T. Bought the normal code pads from supercheap (Bendix General CT, aka ultra premium) and they fitted in fine. Didn't know the caliper was different EGOCRT? How so?

I think that the BF'police cars had stock brakes as they were much better than the BA's. BA police cars (chasers) came with the optional premium brakes as the stock brakes sucked bad.

When the BF turbos/v8 came out, it had the upgraded territory turbo calipers, that were far better. I have not seen any BF's with optional brakes. You can tell if you do have the optional calipers as they will have Ford logo painted on the caliper and the offset ovals on the disk.

This is correct. BF's went to Territory calipers and yes the BA brakes were just scary on the XR8's in Sydney.

The BA turbo boxes would also jump into limp mode very quickly if driven hard around town.

BF's were very big step up and ZF changed the car completely.
