I am getting ready to do the next mods to my F6 ute starting with a PW stage 2 intercooler kit( hot and cool side piping) and the rest of the exhaust. I already have a 3.5" dump pipe with seperate feeder pipe from the wastegate and a 200cpi 3.5" high flow cat and I am going to replace the stock section from cat back with 3.5" all the way back to twin tips at the rear but was thinking about changing the cat to a 100cpi while I am getting the rest done. Is it worth doing or am I going to flow enough with the 200cpi one on there and should just save my money to put towards the other mods? The ute currently has around 320rwkw and was aiming for 360 or so once the intercooler is on and the rest of the exhaust done, 60lb injectors and a re-tune.

What everyones opionion? keep the 200cpi or change to a 100cpi?

I'm using a Ballistic 100cpi cat, flows awesome :)

if you've got the money to buy a 100cpi cat go for it mate, the more flowing your exhaust is the better!

but if your on abit of a budget the 200cpi should do the trick also :biglaugh:

the less cells the better.... then again the less cells the more chance of EPA rimming you... id only go the lower cell cat if your SURE its actually legal... if not, you may aswell bash the existing one you have now and save your cash!!

I've got the 5" balistic cat on mine. Didn't know they were illegal...

it MIGHT NOT be.... but id pucker up if I was getting EPA tested.

Ive heard from a reputable tuner, a STOCK car but with an aftermarket custom tune will not pass an EPA test. :tonguepoke:

Also look into the clearance you have with the cat area, I run a 5" bodied 200cpsi cat that flows well at 373rwkw, but you could probably get away with a 4" body on a 100cpsi cat.
