you have to remember that the price differance between the 2 is almost half IMO as seen buy a few guys on here the hdi kits are makeing around 320kw with no signs of heatsoak etc, id say the limiting factor would be the x over and standard induction not the cooler if you want to make more power ull need a differant pipe/cooler disign anyway id go the hdi and get 300+ easy and spend the $450 change on other mods

Someone finally using their wallet wisely! My mods cost me around $ 2300 all up tuned for an extra 110kw at the wheels. Some guys here spend that kind of money on an exhaust only? Different coarses for different horses I suppose!

I just ordered a rapid hi flow v2 kit, can't wait for it to arrive. The spooling sound is going to be awesome.

hdi's are for skylines etc in my opinion. rapid coolers have more surface area, are a better quality core and look way better. worth every cent.

have your own opinion on wich is better but dont go saying hdi is for skylines etc just because they made intercoolers for them, have alook around majority of factory turbo cars are from japan hence why they sell coolers for jap cars your basiclly saying most brands we use are for skylines etc like xforce etc. IMO yes rapids are a big core but how much of it is actually open to air flow? id prefer a nice thicker core in the area were the air is comeing from and being able to have free flowing air to my radiator but hay that's just my thorts I think its logic, if he wants to spend the extra money and get a well known cooler go for it but the proof is there from other members that the hdi cooler works and is very well priced

The main deciding factor for me was the high flow piping and getting rid of the factory crossover, I was after the nice induction noise from the V2 kit. I didn't think the HDI intercooler was heigh enough, but is a good kit for the money, the same goes with Rapids kits.
