Do you have a solution in place if a problem like this occurs when flashing? If you don't what would we need to do if this occurs? will it cost us a considerable amount to have it fixed? And will help with my decision to move from the Xcal1 to Xcal3 instead of looking at other tuning products.Thanks again for your responses. sct Member 30 Member For: 14y 7m 2d Posted 15/06/11 09:32 AM Share Posted 15/06/11 09:32 AM Herrod has done a number of vehicles whilst sorting out the problems and all reports back from the people who have had there transmissions calibrated is very positive .HMS have 3 cars of there own for development that are used just for developing this ZF software and have put in many hours as well as a number of trips to the USA to get this sorted out. Headsex Donating Members 2,528 Member For: 19y 5m 9d Gender: Male Location: Melb Posted 15/06/11 11:03 AM Share Posted 15/06/11 11:03 AM (edited) So any truth to the rumours the car needs a powerpak hooked up to the battery because the flash can't have any voltage drop at all however miniscule otherwise it wipes the trans computer completely?2 years ago I flashed a ZF trans with a battery so flat that it was unable to start the engine immediately after with no problems.The fact that the 5R29-7J105-xx type codes are "calibration" only regions means if a flash fails, you will be able to re-flash it with no problems.
