Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 22y 17d Posted 24/05/11 08:01 AM Share Posted 24/05/11 08:01 AM what I would like to know is, I still have the xcal 1 and will be looking at getting a retune soon. so will upgrade to the xcal 3, but is the xcal 3 be around for a while or are sct going to bring out a xcal 4 in the near future? or am I safe with the xcal 3 for a while. cheers.Neither XCal1 or XCal2 have the available memory for the ZF firmware, so to tune these transmissions you need an XCal3. All of the information I am getting on the XCal3 is that there is no requirement to change any time soon. It would seem to be supported in Australia indefinitely
Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 22y 17d Posted 24/05/11 08:44 AM Share Posted 24/05/11 08:44 AM (edited) Can the torque reduction be left on for down shifting and off for up shifting? Current its on or off for both.Torque reduction can be applied independently in a dedicated table for every possible shift event. The short answer is 'yes'Currently - or with your existing tune - there is still reduction happening inside the ZF from delays in shift event timing through to allowed clutch slip. Its pretty involved Edited 24/05/11 08:45 AM by Street Tuner

I ask this in terms of wasted flash time.. No need to flash TCM if you haven't made any changes (and wasting more time during the flash process).Which Vehicles are currently supported?
